ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) Whether it's children who need help spelling or older adults who need advice about a health care power of attorney, Loren Krueger is there.
Krueger began volunteering while he was working at Chart Industries in La Crosse. When he retired, he volunteered even more often.
It's possible you've seen him at Viterbo University as an usher during arts events. He's also provided transportation for patients who need it. For the past four years, he's volunteered in an Onalaska kindergarten class. And, he provides assistance for patients and their families at Gundersen Health System.
Krueger is the Jefferson Award winner for May. When informed about the award, Krueger was unsure about whether he deserved the recognition. He joins a long list of important community volunteers who feel the same way.
