AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- Austin High School's Youth Leadership group sponsored their third annual "Strides for a Cure 5K" at Todd Park in Austin on Saturday.
More than 120 people participated in the event for Breast Cancer Research.
"I think it's a good thing because many people are related to the cause," said Madison Wuertz, a student at Austin High School. "I think it's good to run for something that means a lot to people."
The group raised more than $10,000 at the event. The proceeds will be donated to The Hormel Institute's Breast Cancer Research Fund.
