Police looking for suspects in restaurant break-ins

STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Olmsted County Sherriff's Office is looking for whoever broke into a restaurant, took thousands of dollars, and then stashed it in a field.

The Pizza Ranch in Stewartville was broken into sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. A short time later, a bank bag containing $8,000 dollars was found discarded in a field just southwest of the restaurant.

A boot was found near the bag.

Investigators believe whoever broke into the Pizza Ranch may also have targeted the American Legion in Stewartville.

The phone line was cut at the Legion and a window was smashed, but nothing was taken there.

If you know anything about these crimes, police ask that you call Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
