ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Despite the fact that a little over 4 days ago we were shoveling over a foot of snow, here's a thought to warm up your Tuesday:
Rochesterfest is just over a month away.
Tuesday morning, sales officially opened for the $5-dollar Rochesterfest button, with Mayor Ardell Brede purchasing the very first one.
This years button features an old wood barn background, and a goose with the theme, "Cheers, Bring on the fest." It was designed by Curt Jepsen.
The buttons are good for discounts at more than 30 businesses during the 9 days of the festival.
And a big announcement today: the Mayor's cup hot air balloon race will be returning to Rochesterfest for the first time since 2008.
The 9-day festival runs from June 21st through the 29th.
