Goodview residents concerned about concrete

GOODVIEW, Minn. (KTTC) -- An unexpectedly large crowd showed up at the Goodview City Council Meeting Monday afternoon concerned about a possible concrete facility.

Three acres of land located at 6620 Martina Road is up for sale.

The potential buyer from LaCrosse is looking to build a ready-mix concrete facility on the plot.

However, many questions arose as to what the health risks will be, what to do with storm run off, and the amount of truck traffic in the area.

The local government already has the zone listed as light industrial and the incoming business is vying for a conditional use permit.

Because of the amount of people, the board decided to suspend the public hearing until May 20.
