Home trashed in Byron

BYRON, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Byron woman returned to her home after a couple days away, only to find it completely trashed.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriffs office, the incident happened at a home on the 300 block of 2nd Avenue northeast in Byron over the weekend.

The woman who lived at the home had recently broken up with her boyfriend, and had left a box of his belongings on the front porch for him to pick up.

But when she returned Saturday, she found bleach had been dumped all over her belongings. Chairs and mirrors were broken, and the refrigerator was smashed in.

Police say the only thing missing was the box of belongings on the porch.

The incident is still under investigation.
