Snowstorm keeps fire department busy

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- In addition to the public works department staying busy with the storm, the Rochester Fire Department is staying very busy with this storm, as well.

Fire crews tell us they've responded to the scene of six downed power lines.

The department also rescued two people trapped in elevators during power outages caused by Thursday's snow.

Fire officials are still urging caution Friday for anyone walking outside, saying trees are still breaking under the weight of the snow-- and could bring down more powerlines.
