A $500 reward is now being offered to whoever helps authorities find the person who decapitated a dog.

The dog was reported missing from the Fort Madison animal shelter last week. Just days later, the dog was found decapitated.

It's unclear how the dog got out.

Anyone with information should contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
