ALBERT LEA, Minn. (KTTC) -- Thousands of residents were without power in Albert Lea Monday morning.
Albert Lea police said a vehicle crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Fountain St. and First Ave. in Albert Lea shortly before 9:30 a.m. Monday and caused the outage.
Authorities say no one was injured in the crash, but according to Alliant Energy's website, the power outage affected about 1,600 customers in Albert Lea.
Power was restored at about 10:15 a.m.
Aliant Energy serves more than 12,300 in Freeborn County.
