Fire destroys home near Wells


WELLS, Minn. (KTTC) -- A family of six is without a home after a fire northeast of Wells.

It happened shortly before 12:15 a.m. Friday at 58533 210th St.

Wells Fire Chief Mike Pyzick said firefighters battled the fire for nearly four hours.

The family of six were home sleeping when the fire started in the basement. They woke up to smoke but were able to leave the home safely.

Pyzick said two firefighters were treated at the scene for burns to their hands and arms. 

There's no word on what caused the fire.
