UPDATE: Stolen truck crashes into Austin house

AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- Austin police released a little more information about the high speed chase that ended in a stolen truck crashing into the front of a home in Austin.

Police say the incident happened just before 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Two people were in the house at the time of the crash, but were not injured.

Officers pursued the stolen Chevy pick-up truck from the Kwik Trip on 4th Street to the intersection of 7th Street and 5th Ave Southwest.

The pick-up truck then crashed into the home, destroying the front porch.

Police have not released the name of the driver but say the driver went through 12 to 15 stop signs during the pursuit.

He is now in custody in the Mower County Jail.
