Faribault manhunt suspect arrested

FARIBAULT, Minn. (KTTC) -- Authorities have arrested a suspect in the stabbing of a woman in Faribault over the weekend.

Authorities said Shane Alan Wilson was taken into custody about 1 p.m. Sunday in rural Steele county. He was covered in mud and suffering from hypothermia.

An overnight manhunt took place as Wilson was suspected of stabbing his girlfriend several times and then fleeing in a stolen car.

He was found one mile away from where the car was reported to be on fire.

The woman involved was unresponsive when police found her in a vehicle stalled near the police station.

Officers also found two children inside. Neither child was hurt.
