Rochester man accused of stealing from bank

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester man is accused of stealing more than $17,000 dollars while working for Wells Fargo Bank.

23-year-old Daniel Koopemeiners is charged with one count of felony theft.

According to the criminal complaint, Koopmeiners was employed as a deposit teller for Wells Fargo Bank in Rochester.

In November, bank officials became suspicious when a customer found a discrepancy with a deposit.

Koopmeiners admitted to taking the cash from a deposit bag in the bank's vault.

Investigators recovered most of the $17,000 dollars from his home.
