ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Texas man who bit part of a man's ear off outside a Rochester bar last year learns his fate.
John McDonald III, 24, pleaded guilty to third-degree assault in January.
According to court records, McDonald was sentenced Monday to up to five years probation, a week in jail. He was also ordered to pay more than $3,500 in restitution.
Investigators said McDonald and his brother were abusive toward several people at Dooley's Pub in February 2012 and bit part of a man's ear off.
