Albert Lea job fair

ALBERT LEA, Minn. (KTTC) -- People looking for a job converged on Albert Lea Tuesday, where a job fair was held at Riverland College.

About 50 job seekers showed up Tuesday morning, many looking for work this summer.

And there's good news-- a national survey by Snag-A-Job shows the summer hiring season may be the most promising in years.

More than 1,000 managers surveyed said they plan to hire an average of 30 seasonal employees.

The encouraging news holds true for companies in the Albert Lea area, as well. Sources say the majority of summer hiring will take place this month, and will wrap up by the end of May.
