Zumbrota man pleads guilty to attempted murder charge

ZUMBROTA, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Zumbrota man accused of attacking another man with a hammer earlier this year will be sentenced in July.

Jonathan Closner, 26, pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree attempted murder.

Authorities were called to the Ponderosa mobile home park in Zumbrota in January and found Daniel Yennie, 20, suffering from severe head injuries.

Investigators say Yennie was left in a coma and had to have surgery.
