WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -- Minnesota is above the national average when it comes to employment rates, and part of that could be thanks to the career fairs all around the state.
Thursday, job-seekers had a chance to meet professionals at Southeast Technical College in Winona.
Tekoa Boyd is one of them. She's a student there with aspirations of becoming a nurse. And with two teenagers daughters, she has a lot on her plate. But the career fair makes everything a lot more convenient.
And the opportunities aren't just for jobseekers at this fair.
It was also a chance for companies to show-off cutting edge products.
The variety of employers ran the gamut, which was a plus for hopeful employees. Because - as Takoa knows, getting a degree isn't cheap.
