Ag Cab Lab opens at Minnesota Children's Museum of Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Minnesota Children's Museum of Rochester has a new feature that's encouraging America's future farmers.

It looks like a real tractor, it sounds like a real tractor and you can drive it in a simulated field. The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation unveiled the cab today. All it took was a donated cab, some television screens, a steering wheel and video game software to make it look and feel like the real thing.

It took several months to put the simulated software together, but the touring exhibit is complete. The Ag Cab Lab will be featured around different county fairs this summer, but for the next four months, it will be at the Rochester Children's Museum.

The Cab Lab includes an interactive barn and farming area, an agricultural book corner and 'My American Farm' Kiosk donated by DuPont Pioneer. And if you want to try out the ag cab lab for yourself, you can check out the Minnesota Children's Museum of Rochester. It's open Wednesday through Sunday and you can buy season passes or day passes.
