ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Visitors from the Tanzania Ministry of Health visited Winona State University's Rochester campus Wednesday, touring their nursing program facilities.
World Services of La Crosse and WSU are in a partnership with hospitals and nursing schools in Tanzania.
It's an effort by the U.S. to work abroad with other health care officials to address medical issues. They hope to improve communication and bring new technologies and strategies to other countries.
Tuesday, the group from Tanzania got their hands on some of the medical equipment. They say they hope to integrate similar nursing curriculum into their schools. In addition to medical workers visiting here, professionals and students from WSU recently traveled to Tanzania to work and study in their hospitals.
