ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Rochester police are investigating an armed robbery in southeast Rochester.

It happened at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of 11th Ave. Southeast.

Rochester police Sgt. Frank Ohm said three suspects were taken into custody later in the afternoon at the Motel 6 at 2107 Highway 52 North.

Richard Patten and Melissa Kieffer, both of Rochester, were two of the suspects arrested in connection with the robbery. A third suspect, Lacy Manuel, was arrested for an unrelated warrant.

According to police, the victim said she met with Patten and Kieffer around 12 p.m. She had made plans to help them go recover some belongings, but when she got in the car Patten threatened her with a gun. She was able to escape from the vehicle when it slowed down.

The motive for the robbery is unknown at this time. Officers recovered a BB gun. Police say the alleged victim knew the suspects.
