NEAR BROWNSDALE, Minn. (KTTC) -- A three-vehicle crash that blocked traffic on Highway 56 Thursday night has lead to two drunk driving arrests.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Highway 56, just north of the Brownsdale I-90 exit.
Gerald Clark, 59, of Glenville, was driving a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville southbound. He sideswiped Alan Smith, 57, of Brownsdale, who was driving a Ford Taurus in the opposite lane. Smith then hit Raughn Oakland, 51, Brownsdale, who was driving the third vehicle and was also in the northbound lane.
Highway 56 was closed as officials investigated the scene.
According to the State Patrol Clark, Smith suffered minor injuries and were taken to MCHS in Austin.
Police said Friday Clark has been charged with DWI. Police say Oakland has also been charged with drinking and driving.
The Mower County Sheriff's Office, Gold Cross, and Mayo One all responded to the scene.
