WATERLOO (KWWL) -
Details have been announced for a concert to raise money to build Angels Park in Evansdale. The park is being built at Meyers Lake in tribute to Elizabeth Collins and Lyric Cook, who were last seen at the lake July 13, 2012.
"A Concert for the Angels" will be held Saturday April 20th at McElroy Auditorium with an acoustic performance from Saving Abel, known for their song "Addicted." The show will also feature Lotus, Never The Less, and more.
Advance tickets for $20 are available at the McElroy Auditorium Box Office and all Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Waverly Hy-Vees. $25 tickets are available the day of the show. All of the money from ticket sales will fund the renovations at Meyers Lake in Evansdale where the girls disappeared. All of the bands are donating their time for the event.
Renovations will include a pedestrian path leading to an island, which will house new gazebos, rose garden and picnic area.
