AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) - Two fast food restaurants have been burglarized in Austin.
The break-ins happened early Thursday morning, within an hour of each other, and Austin police believe they're connected.
The first happened around 6:30 am Thursday at Arby's, at 1305 18th Ave northwest in Austin. Police say someone broke in, hacked into a safe, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Then around 7:30 am Thursday, the KFC at 1403 18th Ave northwest in Austin was also broken into. Police say they found the safe tampered with, but the suspect wasn't able to open it.
The investigation into both incidents is continuing.
