DES MOINES (KWWL) -
The impending winter storm set to pound the Midwest has forced officials in Iowa to postpone the state high school bowling tournament.
The tournament was to be held in Des Moines on Thursday and Friday, but officials say they were concerned that teams and spectators would have trouble leaving Des Moines.
In a joint statement released Wednesday, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association said that the tournament will now be held on March 11-12 in Des Moines.
