BYRON, Minn. (KTTC) - A 21-year-old man is facing several charges after threatening his ex-girlfriend-- and breaking into the house through a doggie door.
In this case it sounds like the victim was lucky to make it out unharmed, after her ex not only threatended her but also strangled her, police say.
Olmsted County deputies say Walter Heidebrinck broke through the doggie door at his ex-girlfriends house in Byron late Sunday night.
The victim says Heidebrinck had been drinking.
He allegedly walked to the ex-girlfriends bedroom and that's when he got violent, even threatening her with a knife before passing out.
Deputies say he faces charges of first degree burglary, domestic strangulation, and terroristic threats.
