ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) - A Rochester retailer was the target of thieves who took dozens of pieces of gold jewelry over the weekend.
An employee of John Krussel's General Merchandise on 3rd Street Southwest says two men came into the business Saturday afternoon.
While one of the men distracted a clerk in the back, the other remained near the front of the store.
After the two left, the clerk realized 48 gold rings were missing, in addition to necklaces and a Tiffany gold watch.
The loss is expected to be several thousand dollars.
The suspects are described as African American men, both about 6 feet tall and wore dark wool jackets and dark colored hats.
One appeared to be in his 20's and about 170 pounds, the other was about 30 and weighed 200 pounds.
Rochester police are continuing the investigation.
