Mercy Medical-North Iowa resumes air med service

MASON CITY, Iowa (KTTC) - Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa resumes air med service today, more than a month after a fatal helicopter crash.

On January 2nd, Mercy Air Med was on its way to Emmetsburg, Iowa to pick up a patient when it went down in a field just north of Ventura, taking the lives of  nurse Shelly Lair-Langenbau, paramedic Russ Piehl and pilot Gene Grell.
