Hayfield woman hurt after vehicle hits train in Dodge Center
DODGE CENTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A woman is hospitalized after her vehicle collided with a train in Dodge Center.
It happened at the intersection of 10th Avenue and County Road H near Triton High School shortly before 3 p.m. Monday. Authorities said the driver of the vehicle was slowly inching forward as the train approached. The train, which was traveling at about 25 miles an hour, clipped the front of her vehicle sending it into a ditch.
Dodge County Sheriff Jim Jensen said the driver was a 22-year-old woman from Hayfield and was the only one in the vehicle.
She was taken by ambulance to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester with minor injuries.
