Vacant Rochester building's basement fills with water

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Rochester firefighters were called to the Alpine Inn Thursday evening after its basement filled with water.

According to the Rochester Fire Department, water service appeared to have ruptured in the vacant building in the 1200 block of 2nd Street Southwest.

Employees at the adjacent business, Fiksdal Flowers, noted the water seeping into their basement.

Firefighters worked through the early evening hours to pump out the water.
