WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -- A seven month investigation has led to the arrest of 10 people in a major drug bust in southeast Minnesota.
All 10 arrests were made Tuesday but only nine of them were charged. Seven of those were arrested in Winona, one arrest was made in Stockton and another in La Crescent.
The individuals made their first appearance in Winona County District Court Wednesday morning.
Undercover informants and investigators made drug purchases with the nine people, according to the Winona Police Department.
"Some of them [cases] are related to each other so timing is an important part of that at times," said Winona Police Chief Paul Bostrack. "And I sure appreciate the efforts of all the officers involved and they made, I would say, a significant impact."
Chief Bostrack said the Winona County Sheriff's Office helped with two cases outside Winona.
Some of the drugs involved were, plant food, tramadol, dyhydrocodeinone, oxycodone, cocaine, alprazolam, heroin, and methamphetamine.
