ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The condition of a man who fell three stories from a motel has been upgraded from critical to stable.
Rochester police were called about 6 a.m. Sunday to the Super 8 Motel in the 1200 block of South Broadway. Officers found an injured man in the parking lot.
Rochester police Capt. Brian Winters said the 24-year-old man had entered the motel to ask the clerk about contacting someone in a third floor room. The clerk said the room was unoccupied and the man left.
Winters said the man returned to the motel a short time later, went to the third floor and attempted to exit through a window in a common area. The man fell from the window into the parking lot, striking his head.
He was taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester where he is listed in stable condition.
Winters said alcohol was involved in the incident.
