ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Several bald eagles demonstrated they're quite at home in the heart of the city on Friday, feeding on Canada geese in the heart of Rochester.
"Although bald eagles are known for being "fisherman" by trade, whenever cold weather freezes up most of the water bodies in an area, they turn to scavenging to meet their dietary requirements," notes Bernie Engels, who captured a photo of the action at Silver Lake.
Engels said he watched this adult, along with two juvenile eagles, "fighting" over two different goose carcasses.
