Fastenal posts strong 4th-quarter profit

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -- Winona based Fastenal Co.'s fourth-quarter earnings rose 13 percent.

The increase was driven by the addition of new industrial hardware supply stores and the installation of its industrial vending machines.

Fastenal opened 80 new stores in 2012, installed more than 13,000 new machines, and operated 21,000 FAST Solutions industrial vending machines.
