MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The hand surgery for Minnesota's Kevin Love has been scheduled.
The Timberwolves announced Monday that Love will have his third and fourth metacarpal repaired Tuesday in New York by Dr. Michelle Carson at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
The two-time All-Star power forward broke the bones during the Jan. 3 game at Denver, a recurrence of the injury he suffered first doing knuckle push-ups Oct. 17 at home.
Love is expected to return sometime in March. The Wolves assessed a recovery time of eight to 10 weeks after he was hurt. In 18 games this season, Love has averaged a team-high 18.3 points and 14 rebounds per game. The Wolves are 9-9 with him and 7-9 without him.
