Terry Morgan
AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- An Austin man has been arrested and jailed after allegedly threatening to kill his girlfriend with a shotgun.
Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger says Terry Morgan, 58, was picked up Sunday after officers tracked him to nearby Mapleview.
Police were called to the 600 block of 11th Avenue SW by a woman who said she was asleep at her home about 1:30 p.m. Sunday when she woke up to find a shotgun pointed at her head and Morgan threatening to kill her.
The woman told police Morgan said "I'm going to ____ kill you for ruining my life" but then she was able to push the shotgun away from her head and call 9-1-1.
Chief Krueger says officers were told the two had been in a four-year-long relationship, but that Morgan had vanished a couple of weeks ago but then suddenly showed up on Sunday.
Police say they found a .410-gauge shotgun hidden near the woman's home under a wheelbarrow.
