LAWLER, Iowa (AP) -- Officials have rescued a 54-year-old man who'd been caught and injured by a grain auger in northern Iowa.
The Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office says deputies and emergency workers were dispatched to the accident site northwest of Lawler around 10 a.m. Thursday.
The workers freed Gary King, of New Hampton, from the auger. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton and then flown to a hospital in Rochester, Minn., for treatment of a leg injury.
