2 Austin men arrested in attempted burglary

AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- Two Austin men are awaiting charges at the Mower County Jail after being interrupted while allegedly breaking into a home.

It happened in the 1200 block of 5th Ave. N.E. just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Austin police said the homeowner was returning home when she noticed a black car in the driveway. She saw two men run from the side of her home and into the black car.

Within an hour, a Mower County Sheriff's deputy stopped the car outside Riverside Arena.

Cody Granle and Alex Enright, both of Austin, were arrested.

Nothing was taken from the home. The suspects told police they wanted to steal an Xbox and a PlayStation.
