UPDATE: Rochester man dies after crash

STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester man has died more than a week after he was critically injured in a head-on crash.

Matthew Isaacs, 29, passed away this week from injuries sustained in the Dec. 29 collision on U.S. 63 near Racine south of Stewartville.

The crash happened when a 61-year-old Gibbon man was driving south and crossed the center line, smashing into Isaac's vehicle.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the Gibbon man had been drinking.

Two other people in Isaac's vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries.
