Brewery opens in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Kinney Creek Brewery has served hundreds of customers since its opening four weeks ago.  The taproom offers four kinds of locally brewed beer.

"Their IPA here is really good," said Nick Strenke of Rochester.  "It's a real light IPA compared to a lot of stuff. It's not too hoppy but hoppy enough."

Owner Donovan Seitz has been brewing wine and beer since 2004.

"Probably 50 percent of the people who come in say that Rochester has needed a brewery for a long time," said Seitz. 

Neil Karon brews his own beer and said he plans on visiting the brewery again.

"It's good to see that craft beer is spreading around and it's good to see that Rochester finally has a brewery," said Karon.  "I like their beer, it's tasting good."

Kinney Creek Brewery is located at 1016 7th Street NW in Rochester.
