AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- A man was arrested Thursday morning for trying to pass two $100 counterfeit bills at a credit union.
Austin police say a man entered Accentra Credit Union in Austin and withdrew a large sum of money.
He later returned to the credit union, according to Austin police.
He tried to deposit some of the money back into the account but this
time two counterfeit bills were detected.
Staff recognized the scam immediately and called police.
The man was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Thursday and is awaiting charges.
