AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- Police in Austin saved two people last week from what could have been life-threatening situations.
Officers received reports of a young woman yelling for help on Dec. 22 at about 3:30 a.m.
When officers arrived at Key Apartments in Austin, they found a 19-year-old girl, soaking wet and hypothermic. Her feet were covered in snow and ice.
And just two days later, officer Ernesto Cantu was patrolling the streets of Austin when he came across a 22-year-old man sleeping in the snow banks outside of Queen of Angels Church.
Both were transported by Gold Cross to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. Police said both individuals had been drinking.
