PRESTON, Minn. (KTTC) -- Authorities have released the name of the man arrested in connection with a stand-off and shooting Friday in Preston. The suspect is Roger Bergmann of Canton.
According to authorities, the 39-year-old man shot a 49-year-old woman in the neck inside a home.
The suspect then took off and was later tracked down by a Rushford police officer and chased into Winona County.
After other squad cars joined the chase, the man stopped his truck and eventually got out, unarmed, with his hands up.
He was handcuffed and taken back to Fillmore County, where charges are expected to be filed Monday.
Fillmore County Sheriff Daryl Jensen says the woman had surgery for her injuries but her condition is unknown.
