Layoffs at Rochester Medical Corporation

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- At least ten employees will lose their jobs this holiday season as a Stewartville company ends a product line.

Rochester Medical Corporation announced it will stop making Foley Catheters.

Company CEO and President, Anthony Conway, called the move a "business decision."  The decision resulted in 10 to 15 employees receiving layoff notices.

Foley Catheters made up six percent of the company's sales.  According to the company, the product line was losing money.

Rochester Medical Corporation will continue to take orders for Foley Catheters until the inventory is gone.
