Thaddeus Ellenbecker
FOREST CITY, Iowa (KTTC) -- A former Forest City police officer leans his punishment for two charges of arson and burglary.
Thaddeus Ellenbecker, 35, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on each charge.
Ellenbecker was found guilty last month of second degree arson and second degree burglary.
Ellenbecker's charges stemmed from two incidents with the Forest City Police Department.
Investigators say Ellenbecker stole an assault rifle from a squad car in Nov. 2010. In Oct. 2011, he started a fire that damaged the Forest City police station.
