Austin man arrested in Salvation Army burglary


AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) -- An Austin man is in custody after attempting to burglarize a Salvation Army drop off location.

Austin police said Duane Johnson, 39, forced his way into the store in the 700 block of 10th Street Northeast Saturday and later admitted to the burglary.

Johnson was caught on surveillance cameras.

Salvation Army employees were able to identify him as a former employee who was let go.
