MAZEPPA, Minn. (KTTC) -- An explosion and fire inside an RV at a campground near Mazeppa Sunday evening severely burned two people from Rochester.
Firefighters were called to Mac's Park Place campground near the Lake Zumbro Dam about 9:20 last night after an explosion caused a huge fire in an RV hooked up to a pickup truck.
Wabasha County Sheriff Rodney Bartsch says Jacob Harberts, 29, had been living there with Briana Wagner, 28, and that the sheriff says just prior to the blast there had been talk of them "making something on the cook stove."
Sheriff Bartsch says Harberts and Wagner have been taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with severe burns. A spokesperson for Regions says they are both in critical condition.
