ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The weekend's slow-moving snowstorm is being blamed for hundreds of crashes, including one that claimed the life of a Winona man.
The Minnesota State Patrol said Justin Breza, 21, died in the crash at U.S. 61 and Wacouta Road near Red Wing at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Five people were hurt and taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing.
The Minnesota State Patrol said a semi was traveling south on U.S. 61 when it lost control and struck two vehicles headed north.
In Rochester, one vehicle went into an embankment on East Circle Drive at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Rochester police and Gold Cross Ambulance arrived to the scene and began a search but the car was unoccupied.
