33-year-old Kevin Ambrose faces a murder charge in the in the May shooting death of 59-year-old Kay Straw.  He faces attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting and injuring his fiancee Marlene Buss.  The trial is scheduled for next month.

Attorneys want to consolidate that with a separate trial for unlawfully possessing the firearms at the time of the shootings.
