19-year-old airlifted after crash on Highway 30

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

A crash involving a cement truck, semi and another car shut down traffic in Linn County for several hours.  It happened on Highway 30 just before 12:45 p.m.

The Iowa State Patrol says the semi crossed the center line and sideswiped the cement truck, then hit a car head-on.

19-year-old Jacob Callender of Lowden was airlifted from the scene to University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

The driver of the cement truck - 39-year-old Dennis Heeren of Anamosa was taken from the scene by ambulance.
