Reina Gandarilla
MANKATO, Minn. (KTTC) -- A young mother has been jailed in Mankato after turning herself in to sheriff's deputies Monday afternoon.
Reina Ganderilla had vanished with her two young children from a family foster care facility last week and had been the subject of a multi-state police search ever since. Because she has family in the Chicago area, investigators were on-alert that she might have tried to head that way.
She did not have legal custody of her two kids.
Blue Earth Co. Sheriff's Capt. Rich Murry says the children appear to be fine, and are now back in foster care.
